BUILDING A CONSISTENT PRAYER LIFE 1
“And it came to pass, that as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased
one of his disciples said to him lord teach us how to pray, as john also taught his disciples. Luke 11:1 kjv”
As the disciple of Christ observed all the miracles that Christ performed during his earthly walk. The opening of the blind eyes, the turning of water into wine and even the raising of the dead . one would natural expect them to have asked Jesus to teach them how to work miracles.
Because the disciple came to know that the source of Jesus power and anointing was
“consistent prayer life”.
Jesus will pray for hours before preaching in his crusade. He will even pray for hours after the crusade. He will pray when there is no crusade. He prayed on top of the mountain, prayed in the valley, prayed when there is trouble and he will pray even when there is nothing to pray about. He prayed when the ministry was booming with crowd following Him and also prayed when all his disciples had deserted Him. He prayed when the father heard Him and He also prayed when he knew the father will not answer Him.
Jesus did not just teach them how to pray but how to pray consistently. By keeping them in the upper room for Ten days.
Till now the world has not recovered the effect of that 10 days prayer meeting.
Consistency is the key. praying daily is praying consistently.
