KILLING GUILT
“if we confess our sin he his faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleans us from all unrighteousness 1john 1:9 kjv
Have come to realize that most times its easier for God to forgive us, than we forgiving ourselves. When ever you hear yourself confessing a particular sin more than once it’s a sign hat you’re actually suffering from this powerful weapon of the devil called guilt. This guilt is a feeling of condemnation over what we’ve done wrong in the past. It has a way of making us to feel condemn and rejected by God.
It also has the way of making us feel that God is angry with us. It makes us become scared of God and also uncomfortable in his presence.
It is one of the must powerful tool of the devil to keep people, both believers and sinners away from the ever loving God. Sometimes we might feel that guide is the working of the holy spirit our heart, but that’s not true. the holy spirit only convict us of our sins, He doesn’t condemn us. Because even in our sins He still love us and hes not planning to condemn us but to redeem us. I strongly believe that the prodigal son would have return to the father long time ago. I believe it was guilt that kept him in the strange land to the point that he could eat with pigs.
If you’re reading this devotional and you are not born again I want to encourage you to come to Jesus today. He will forgives you of all your sins. And once he forgives you also learn to forgive yourself.
Never you allow the devil to make you suffer and tormented with guilt when God has already forgiven you. Learn to forgive yourself. Be free, because you’re free.
